Description

Hi there dears,

It took some time to draw this. My first attempt to draw very sharp contrast, using lots of colours, a landscape AND using different techniques. I drew from a different point of view, hopefully you guys like it.

I drew my Role Play character Shii, a 14 year old girl with a Vronskr ( [link] )
"The Vornskr, native to the planet Myrkr, was a wild, vicious canine beast that had the unusual ability to sense the Force. This ability evolved to help them hunt Ysalamiri, but a side effect caused them to think that Force-sensitives were their favorite prey. Vornskrs were primarily nocturnal hunters, and used their whip-like, mildly venomous tails to stun prey before finishing it off with their teeth. " - Wookipeepedia

For people offering critism, tips and any other comment, make sure you visit the link before judging about the proportions of the animal. It needs to be very skinny.
Secondly, i tried to draw some fantasy world, a cave on a planet in the Tion Cluster ( [link] ) and i added colours on own insight.
This is a some what experiment, to see how i do this type of arts. But i tried my hardest nontheless.

Let me know what you think about it ^-^

I have to say when the artist told me what she was planning with this "new technique", I had no idea what to expect. And now I am very pleasantly surprised. Considering this is a first work made in this way, coming from an artist who is quite uneasy about that sort of thing, it is very well done. There is some room for improvement, but it would be a shame if there wasn't. The idea for the angle and for portraying the character is, as far as I know, quite original. A character is seldom shown from the back, unless when in a larger series of drawings, in a comic strip or on a reference sheet. The use of different heavy contrasts together gives the piece a hitting in-your-face impact and clearly defines it from other works of similar nature. Particularly the contrast between the shadowy surrounding and figures on one side and the single beam of light on the other draws attention immediately, and manages to keep it. One small point of critique might be that the texture of the ground is very similar to that of the rocks, and it could stand to be differentiated there a little more. Other than that, I can think of no concrete negative points to this piece of art.
